surprisingly, the day turned out to be quite fun.
dragged myself out of bed early at 730am to attend the SYMC in school.
but upon seeing the different cosplayers somehow pirked my day up... :)
maybe I should have cosplayed hahaha, but ok, another time.

paper presentations were ok too. some were interesting, especially the Singlish one lah.
and then there was the 'Mat' culture presentation which was really insightful.
The 'effects of anime' wasn't that bad either, I actually agreed with their hypothesis..
but too bad, i stoned at the 5th paper presentation and doodled around on the free notebook in the goodie bag.

so after SYMC, i went to watch Xmen 3... with my parents!!
they hadn't been to a theatre in like 2 years, so I dragged them down to watch ' a movie out of their generation' (to quote my mom haha)
ok so about the movie, it had its good points and bad points.

Good points:
1) The actress who took on the role of Phoenix really looked the part. Those haunting black eyes.... oh my.

2) Action action action... thats what Xmen is about anyway. Most of the time ahah.

3) Special effects galore.. you have to see for yourself when Phoenix runs riot.

Bad points:
1) Rubbish storyline. I'd say they really wanted to end it quickly. After all, it's the last movie... right?

2) Too many characters killed. Like Cyclops and Prof. X. Like WHOA! ok so they ran out of ideas perharps.

3) No gambit, no psylocke, no other popular Xmen or villians. Juggernaut was a disgrace.

but anyway, at least it entertained me. and my parents too.
still, catch the movie. if you really want some brawl, love and... err.. kill time.
