tis a bit late but..
this is congrats to both Hady Mirza and Jon Leong for saving in what could have been a potentially eye-tear Spore Idol tournament (can anyone say Joakim, Paul or Jasmin as the finalists?)
Both are brillant singers and I've got no doubt both of them have got bright futures ahead of them. Singapore Idol 3... oh wait, there aint no next Idol.
its friday yet again and man do i love fridays.
though the next month is gonna be spent on training up for NAPFA so that i can enjoy the 2 weeks discount off BMT if i can get the gold/silver...
i just hope i can get an enlistment date that'll either be in April or beyond that.
If you're a regular reader, you might have guessed that I'm planning to travel outta the country on my own for a month...
Nothing bad bout Singapore, but I wanna be out of home for a lil while..
Cos think bout it.
You wont get a chance, or a slim chance at that, to travel next time on your own or with friends.
the next chance will most likely be with our own started families and beyond.
so im not letting this slip...
where im going?
hmmm... take a guess haha.
its not that hard because im an ass at tryin to make subliminal messages.
and just for the record, here are 2 lame jokes. (highlight for answer)
1) What do u call a guy who sings on stage?
Mike
2) What do u call a guy that digs?
Doug
i take no responsibility if your legs or brains hits 11 out of 10 on the lame-0-meter.
good weekend to all of ya xD

well great, my results arent that wonderful so to speak.
at least I've proven that 2 of my modules are in line on what I want to do next time in life.
2 of them I expected to be... er-hem, below the mark.
but 1 of was way out of line.
i secured good grades along the way, and i dont know how it came like that.
most probably the last proj, but heck, that was the one thing that pulled me down.
but anyway, results really dont matter to me.
ok fine, they are the gateway to university.. so thats one on my bad list.
I still believe its the skill thats more important and more valuable.
just too bad degrees and highter titles are needed to advance in this world.
u must be thinking that im saying all this bcos i got bad grades.
yeah maybe so.
But I still think that Im gonna make it good later in my career.
I wont go for a job that pays me high
because Im going for a job that i will ENJOY.
cos i believe i'll do better in it.
im gonna tell you my plan. in fact, my dream plan.
After internship and after NS, i plan to pursue a degree in Sports Journalism in University of Canberra.
After I graduate, i'll come back to Singapore and start my career in this area.
i'll slowly build up and then, show that I'm qualified in working at Sportscenter.
That's not the end.
Once i've shown my credentials, it's off to England.
where I plan to become one of the few asian football critics over there.
YEAH! big dream innit!
and i want to make that happen.
whoa ahha, are you laughing/raising eyebrow/rolling eyes?
anyway good night.

i went on a lil bus ride adventure today to familiarise my bus route to my workplace.
i boarded 151 at the police acadamy and according to streetdirectory.com, i would have to alight at the 10th stop and board 93.
i did just that. And i got puzzled when i alighted at a somewhat dusty bus stop with no buildings behind or opposite. Just the road and main expressway.
nevermind, i boarded 93 and again, according to the website, alight at the 6th stop.
and my 6th stop was in front of Jln Ismail (spelling), and i noticed i passed by my destination road a few stops behind.
and so i walked and walked....
to Sims avenue back and forth,
cut through Eunos Avenue,
took a train to Paya Lebar...
and walked all the way back to Eunos station (which is just a stop away from PL)
and arrived at the interchange and finding out that both 93 and 94 goes straight to my workplace.
T_______________________________T
the whole journey took like 1.5 hours and i took a cab back.
sheesh, no choice but im gonna go back on the bus route on friday...
and guess what?
streetdirectory.com now tells me...
board 151 and stop at 13TH STOP.
take 93 and stop at 4TH STOP.

the terrorists of this world has got to know that their actions are not bringing about a new world order.
(ok fine so i sound like Bush (ape), but this is just my view)
its just more chaos, more destruction, more casualties, more disorder,
more of everything of the opposite of peace.
they argue they're fighting for a rightful cause, but its really just a cause that they will benefit from and those too who believe in it.
and guess what, the majority dont.
so quit the bombings, the attacks and killings.
u'll never consider the greater damage being done. and you will never understand. probably.
this is for those who lost someone dear during 9/11.

'Jules, you've got 2 minutes to warm up. I'm gonna take Giggsy off and you're swapping flanks with Ronnie,' the gaffer instructed me.
74 minutes had gone and the Red of Manchester were down 1-2 to the other blue half. At the Theatre of Dreams. Losing a derby match was not on the gaffer's mind, nor the rival manager's too.
I stood up nervously and quickly walked out of the box.
'ok lets do some running back and forth, a few stretches and...' i thought to myself but...
'JULES! Santa aint waiting for you, and he aint gonna give you a present if you dont change out of your kit in a sec!,' the assistant manager blasted away.
Right, so 1 minute had passed that fast. I didnt even know it, heck, didnt even THINK that this moment would come.
The 4th official called me to get ready as he keyed in the numbers on the subs board. I stretched my hips one last time before the announcer began the announcement.
'Substitution for Manchester United. No.11, Ryan Giggs coming off for No.17, J.low'.
It was met by a mix reception of cheers and jeers. A section of the Stretford End had come to see me play in the Reserves and to some, 'the kid's a hot one for the future'. But I would have guessed majority of the Old Trafford faithful hadnt even heard of my name.
Giggsy quickly ran half the pitch as I stood there with my hand raised out to 'tag' with the captain.
'Pass it to Scholesy. And do us proud,' he said a few words of encouragement as he tossed me the captain's armband.
here goes nothing....
i broke into a slow jog as I headed towards a ginger-haired player who was catching his breath. I gave him the band and was about to call Ronnie when Scholesy stopped me.
'Ji's gonna take the left. You're partnering me.'
I stared at him bewildered. Partner him? But didnt the gaffer just....
'for 2 minutes. If we dont get the goal soon, you'll swap with Ji alright lad? Now eyes up!' he patted me on my back as he retreated back into our half. Do as the captain says I guess as I followed suit.
Up on the other end, the City keeper took the goal kick. The ball sailed through the air as it looked to be either Rio or Corradi. But Rio, strong as he was, headed it away to Ronnie on the right. Jeers followed....
'Here!', Scholesy shouted out. Ronnie obeyed and squared it to him. Immediately, 2 City players closed in on him...
...but Scholesy flicked the ball over his head and over his markers, onto my path. A moment of brillance which was widely applauded all around the stadium.
My eyes locked on the ball, I moved it forward as I began to quicken my pace. Park was running into space and dragging a defender together with him. Up ahead, I spied Saha taking up his positon while Wazza was calling for the ball. and he also seemed to be saying something...
..'MAN ON!' my ears caught wind of his cry that my marker was coming in for the tackle. At the last moment, I shifted the ball away from his legs. Cheers followed as I moved towards a central position. 25 yards out from the goal. Perfect for shooting. I got ready to execute a piledriver...
...when at the corner of my eye, Ronnie was speeding in from the right.
Unmarked.
The 2 centre-backs prepared to block my shot as my striking leg prepared to shoot the ball. Instead, I chipped it at the last minute over them...
..onto the path of Ronnie. The Stretford end stood up with much anticipation, one thing on their minds.
Ronnie took the ball down with his left foot and then with a quick shift of his feet, he powered in the ball from his right. The keeper stood no chance as the ball buried itself into the bottom right corner.
'YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH' was the cry from the entire stadium. Wazza and Ji immediately raced to Ronnie who had gone to the corner flag to celebrate. For a moment, I didnt realise it until I saw the scoreboard.
2-2.
Smiling, I knew the match wasnt over.
game on.

this is insane.
Two of the hottest Argentinian stars, Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano have SIGNED FOR WEST HAM UNITED!
OMFWTF BIGGEST TRANSFER COUP OF THE DECADE.
but wait a minute, it may be a conspiracy theory.
for u see, the man who brought the 2 players in runs a company called Media Sports Investment.
It has been rumoured that Chelscum's owner, Abramasunnavabitch owns a 15% stake in it.
so, the move may just be a 'loan'.
when they've reached their peak, they move back to their original club, Chelscum.
so if its true, here's an early finger to the Blues.

on the other hand, my trip to Bangkok was relaxing, refreshing.
i'll post up the pictures when i'm assed to do it :p
