i'm sure all of you have heard of the Virginia Tech massacre, carried out by an disillusioned South Korean, Cho Seung-Hui who's probably stirred prejudices among his fellow Asians, especially his own countrymen, in the entire US.
It raises the questions of guns being permitted in the US. I don't think with knives, that South Korean would have gone around killing and injuring many students in such a short period of time. I guess this is the price that the US have to face if they allow their residents to bear arms. You never know when the next crazy mofo comes around and takes it to the next level: He goes on a street rampage. Impossible? Yeah probably, but u never know.
I'm not really surprised that angsty, depressed and angry kids like Cho would come up with something drastic to fulfil his 'cause'. It has been done before. There was a case where 3 really brainwashed kids, dressed up all Matrix-ed, went into their school with all guns blazing and then proclaiming that we were living in the Matrix. See the similarity?
It's so crystal clear - these kids obviously have issues. Issues that can be solved, but in their own world, think that what they're doing is absolutely right and dont give 2 shits about what others think. They refuse help, to top it off. I try my best not to dislike them but really, I hate it when they don't think of the aftermath.
Thanks Cho, thanks for stirring hatred for Asians in the US for the next few weeks. Thanks very much for causing so much grief and sorrow. Thanks for hurting those who havent even met you or do anything to make u so mad at them. Thanks for not thinking about the potential political rifts between US and Korea.
What really pissed me off is that in one of Cho's video excerpts sent to the NBC, he says: 'Thanks to you, I die like Jesus Christ, to inspire generations of the weak and the defenseless people.'
What blasphemy.
Jesus sacrificed Himself in order to save His people, betrayed by the people He loved. All this to bear the sins of the world, so that people will come to know of His love.
Cho, u have done nothing comparable of what Jesus did. To kill people is not at all inspiring. I dont know where in the world u got that sick twisted belief but how dare you insult a highly regarded religion like that.
I reiterate, for the depressed and angsty people who wish to do something to change the world, I really want to say GOOD LUCK trying to change it. Because the world will still be the fooked up world as it will always be. So to quote rocky balboa:
'It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me or nobody is going to hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much can you take and keep moving forward.'
