「 invaded it on 12:22 AM 」

it's been 3 weeks of training, sweating, tekaning, running, route-marching, shooting and sleeping in the place known as the Island.
P.T Island.
how appropriate. cos when the sgts are tekaning, they always say the same thing:

'remember, this is not TEKAN SESSION. This is Physical Education!'

then we proceed with 10 counts of 4 push-ups and if we're slow, we switch to jumping jacks with 20 counts of 4.
all the better if we wearing our LBV vest and our heavy m16s rifles.

but learning new things can be fun.
like urban operations, where groups of 3 will make their way tactically through a building. they will execute standard 'storming/scanning the room' procedures and fire blanks at target enemy boards.
like the bobo guy in my group, when he charged in screaming like a mad psycho when i just threw in my 'grenade' into a room.
or someone putting the rifle into auto-fire mode when SIR already said 1039485 times DO NOT PUT ON AUTO-FIRE MODE.

i guess so far its been quite fun looking back at it.
though i still cannot forgive the fact that 18 year/19 year old guys, full of potential, no matter who they are, slave 2 years of their youths to the Army. Majority will go on and ORD, while the minority may sign on.
so u see, its only a handful that go on to become professional soldiers. which proves the point that being an Army regular isnt all that attractive. The good pay is an incentive, BUT, there are also other jobs out there with better pay. And that is where I want to head for when 2009 approaches.

bloody hell, its only 3 weeks! ><
